Myrtle
Beach Golf Buzz host Blair O’Neal took her first trip to the Dunes
Club, the Grand Strand’s most revered course. O’Neal sat down with
Dunes Club head pro Dennis Nicholl to get an inside look at a
layout that is ranked among America’s top 100 public courses by
both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. From the famed 13th hole to the
Dunes Club’s rich history – the course has hosted the U.S. Women’s
Open, six Senior PGA Tour Championships, and the finals of the
PGA’s Q-School – O’Neal provides golfers an in-depth look at the
layout.

Ever
wondered how golf professionals maintain such great strength and
flexibility? It's the real key to the golf swing, allowing a full
range of motion to the top and down through the ball. Many amateur
golfers, embracing any and all tactics available to them, have
turned to yoga, and it's not just for the body. Yoga also has
benefits that help you focus, and eliminate thoughts that can
distract you from your game. Check out this quick video as Blair
O'Neal, host of The Myrtle Beach Golf Buzz illustrates how yoga can
help your golf game too.

clubhouse that dominates the landscape. In this edition of The
Myrtle Beach Golf Buzz, Blair O'Neal visits the facility, and finds
out the real history of this Myrtle Beach tradition.

Ocean Ridge Plantation is one of the premier multi-course
facilities on the Myrtle Beach golf scene, and Lion's Paw was the first Big Cat to prowl the Grand
Strand. Enjoy a look at the Willard Byrd/Tim Cate design.
Mike Golic kills me! This shot is from the 2011 Monday After the
Masters Celebrity Golf Tournament, and he was cracking everyone up.
Darius Rucker, formerly of Hootie & the Blowfish is on the
right, amazed at Golic's wackiness, and Mike Greenberg was just
trying to keep it all together. Such great guys, and we love having
them in Myrtle Beach every year for this charitable tournament!

Wedgefield Plantation brings a Lowcountry feel
to the Myrtle
Beach golf scene. Visually the layout is defined by hundreds of
soaring Live Oak tree draped in Spanish moss that run throughout
the property. Enjoy a look at Wedgefield Plantation:
Shaftsbury Glen of Myrtle Beach, a Clyde Johnston designed golf
course, is fairly open off the tee. But greens are elevated and
protected by huge bunkers. You'll have to rely on your short iron
game, as staying out of the sand just might be the key to success.
It's part of the Glens Group, and available to add to your next
Myrtle Beach golf package!
Did you know Myrtle Beach features two courses designed by Jack
Nicklaus? We're lucky enough to have The Long Bay Club on the North side, and Pawleys Plantation Golf Club on the south. If
you're interested in playing them, either contact them directly, or
ask your golf director to include them in your Myrtle Beach golf package.
Blair
O'Neal, the new host of "The Myrtle Beach Golf Buzz," has been
called America's hottest golfer. Who are we to argue? Tell us what
you think!
But she's not just a pretty face! She was a four-year standout
at Arizona State and won two NCAA long drive contests before
graduating as team captain in 2004. But, speaking of photos, she
was featured in the 2012 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, and
Sports Illustrated was conceived at Pine Lakes Country Club - a
legendary golf course in Myrtle Beach. The coincidence is
astounding! Go Blair!
