Myrtle Beach Golf Trip: 5 Places To Visit

celebrity square.jpgIf you only want the best on your Myrtle Beach golf trip, we have several Central Strand recommendations. From steakhouses to lighted driving ranges, here are five things that will help make your trip even more memorable.

1. Go to New York Prime -
If money isn’t an issue and your Myrtle Beach golf group wants great steak, the original New York Prime is the place to go.  There are New York Prime restaurants in Atlanta and Boca Raton, but the chain started here, and it only takes one meal to find out why. It’s the best steak on the beach, and the atmosphere is as good as the food. If money is a concern, go to Angelo’s Steak & Pasta. It’s more economical and the food is outstanding.

2. Spend an evening at Broadway at the Beach – One of the largest shopping, dining and entertainment complexes on the East Coast, Broadway has everything. Restaurant options range from seafood, Italian and classic American Cuisine to a Japanese steakhouse. There are 12 bars and nightclubs (here is a vote for Crocodile Rocks, a piano bar) and countless shops. Broadway will please everyone in your group.

3. Watch a game at Murphy’s Law -
It’s not the nicest establishment in the area, but Murphy’s is an old-school sports bar. It has good food, cold drinks and a great local feel. At its heart, Murphy’s is a Pittsburgh bar and the walls are lined with sports photos and memorabilia. If you want to watch a game in a traditional sports bar (and eat great hot wings), Murphy’s is the choice.

4. Practice after dark -
One of the area’s most popular facilities, Legends Resort, home of Heathland, Parkland and Moorland, also has one of the best practice area’s in the nation. The massive, lighted driving range has grass and mats in addition to a covered hitting area. If you need to straighten out your swing after hours, this is the place to do it.

5. Gorge yourself on seafood –
If you are on a boys trip, treat yourself to a good seafood buffet. The all-you-can-eat smorgasbords aren’t for everyone, but they are a staple of many Myrtle Beach golf trips and the recommendation here is Captain George’s. Admit it, you want to eat as many crab legs a humanly possible.
