Myrtle Beach is the home of public golf in America, and the area's hospitality extends to even the youngest of golfers. The Grand Strand has 46 courses, including some of the nation's best, that allow junior golfers (kids 16 and under) to play for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Several other facilities permit Juniors to play for free during the summer and at deeply discounted prices the rest of the year, allowing Myrtle Beach to do its part to help ensure the future growth of the game.

The following courses allow juniors to play free:

Aberdeen Arrowhead
Beachwood (afternoon) Black Bear
Blackmoor Burning Ridge Crown Park
Farmstead Founders Club Glen Dornoch
Grande Dunes Heather Glen Heron Point
Indian Wells Indigo Creek International Club
King’s North Leopard’s Chase Lion’s Paw
Litchfield Long Bay MBN – Southcreek
MBN – West Meadowlands Myrtlewood Palmetto and PineHills
Panther’s Run Pawleys Plantation Pearl East and West
Pine Lakes Possum Trot (afternoon) Prestwick (afternoon)
Quail Creek River Club River Hills

Looking for some information on kids play for free. My son is 16 years old and is a 2 handicap. He plays on several local tours, 7- UP, Pepsi, Plantations, PGA Jr. We have visisted Myrtle Beach several times and have played many courses, but now I have knee replacement scheduled in less than a month and can not play. Are there courses that he can play for free and play as a single? We will be in N. Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks and we want him to continue to practice while on vacation. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm interested in playing with my daughter in another several weeks when I am at the beach, but we'd like to play only 9 holes. Do any / many of the courses have reasonable 9-hole rates? Thanks!
