Golf Digest Spotlights Myrtle Beach

Thursday, April 15, 2010 by Chris King

digest.jpgGolf Digest, one of the game's leading publications, dedicated 17 pages of editorial in its May issue to covering all things Myrtle Beach golf. Digest's lead travel writers, Pete Finch and Matt Ginella, spent several days in the area talking to golfers and polling locals about the area's best off-course activities.

The result is a comprehensive guide to Myrtle Beach. Finch and Ginella tell the stories of golfers who come to Myrtle Beach and what brings them back year after.

Enjoy their work.

When I was younger I really enjoyed my Myrtle days. They cater to the regular golfer who plays mostly public courses and expects little ,other than some fun and relaxation. I am 86 now and still play a little but have not been able to travel for several years now because of some medical problems . I would love one more trip and maybe I WILL AFTER ONE MORE OPERATION.

My golf club and friends have been coming down for 12 years now. This is by far the best courses for the best value, we wouldn't go anywhere else! See you in June and July this summer! John Barry

My buddy and I were in Myrtle Beach for 2 weeks, and 15 rounds of golf, in 1988. It was the Best 2 week vacation I have had. I still remember it like it was yesterday.
